Terms of Service

Last updated: August 7, 2026

These terms govern your use of Sunstone — the website at wearesunstone.com and the Sunstone product ("the Service"), operated by Sunstone ("we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you're using Sunstone on behalf of a company, you're agreeing for that company and you confirm you have the authority to do so.

1. The Service

Sunstone is a marketing platform: it learns your business, proposes and drafts marketing work — pages, ad creatives, video, reports, and code changes — and ships that work only after a human in your workspace approves it. The Service is currently in private preview: features may change, and access is granted at our discretion.

2. Accounts and workspaces

You're responsible for your account credentials and for the people you invite to your workspace. Roles and permissions inside a workspace (including who may approve work, publish, or authorize spend) are configured by the workspace's administrators, and you're responsible for keeping those assignments accurate.

3. Your content and data

You own your content: the information about your business you provide, the data from services you connect, and the marketing work produced in your workspace. You grant us the rights needed to host and process that content solely to provide the Service. We claim no ownership over the outputs Sunstone generates for you.

4. Connected services

When you connect a third-party service (analytics, ads, CRM, email, code hosting, and so on), you confirm you're authorized to connect it and that your use complies with that service's own terms. You can disconnect a service at any time. Actions that write to a connected service are staged for approval in your workspace before anything is sent; once a person with the right authority approves an action, it is carried out on your instruction.

5. Approvals and responsibility

Sunstone is built so that nothing publishes, sends, spends, or merges without human approval in your workspace. That design has a counterpart in these terms: work that your workspace approves and ships is your responsibility, including its accuracy and its compliance with the laws and advertising policies that apply to your business. Review what you approve.

6. Acceptable use

7. Fees

Access during the private preview is on the terms agreed with you when you're admitted. When paid plans are offered, they will be flat monthly prices with their inclusions stated plainly, and you will never be charged without agreeing to a price first.

8. Intellectual property

We own the Service — its software, design, and branding. These terms don't grant you any rights in the Service except the right to use it. Feedback you give us may be used to improve the Service without obligation.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Sunstone generates drafts and analysis to support your decisions; it does not guarantee marketing outcomes, and generated content should be reviewed before you approve it.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for claims arising out of the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the amounts you paid us for the Service in that period (or £100 if you have paid nothing).

11. Termination

You can stop using the Service and close your workspace at any time. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms or where required for security or legal reasons. Sections that by their nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits) survive termination.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; if we make material changes we'll notify account holders before the changes take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
